Lịch sử điện ảnh Đức trước thập niên 1950

[sửa | sửa mã nguồn]Đức là một trong những nước đầu tiên phát triển kỹ thuật điện ảnh. Ngày 1 tháng 11 năm 1895, hai anh em người Đức Max và Emil Skladanowsky đã giới thiệu hệ thống Bioskop, một thiết bị để trình chiếu hình ảnh chuyển động, tại nhà hát Wintergarten ở Berlin. Max Skladanowsky cũng đã có mặt trong buổi chiếu thu tiền đầu tiên trên thế giới của Anh em Lumière tại Paris ngày 28 tháng 12 và nhận thấy sự vượt trội của hệ thống Cinématographe so với hệ thống Bioskop của mình.
