Bio
Dr. Fei-Fei Li is the inaugural Sequoia Professor in the Computer Science Department at Stanford University, and a Founding Co-Director of Stanford’s Human-Centered AI Institute. She served as the Director of Stanford’s AI Lab from 2013 to 2018. And during her sabbatical from Stanford from January 2017 to September 2018, Dr. Li was Vice President at Google and served as Chief Scientist of AI/ML at Google Cloud. Since then she has served as a Board member or advisor in various public or private companies. She is currently a Co-founder/CEO of World Labs, an AI company focusing on Spatial Intelligence and generative AI.
Dr. Fei-Fei Li obtained her B.A. degree in physics from Princeton in 1999 with High Honors, and her PhD degree in electrical engineering from California Institute of Technology (Caltech) in 2005. Zhong Lin Wang (Chinese: 王中林; pinyin: Wáng Zhōnglín; born November 1961[1]) is a Chinese-American physicist, materials scientist and engineer specialized in nanotechnology, energy science and electronics. He was awarded the Albert Einstein World Award of Science in 2019, and is often dubbed the ‘father of nanogenerators’.
He received his PhD from Arizona State University in 1987. He is the Hightower Chair in Materials Science and Engineering and Regents' Professor Chair Emeritus at the Georgia Institute of Technology, US.[2] In 2024, it was reported that Wang had moved to work in China full-time at the Beijing Institute of Nanoenergy and Nanosystems. It was widely speculated that this was due to US government persecution of Chinese-American scientists through the China Initiative as well as the rise of anti-Asian attacks in the United States.[3]
